Kuwait parliament speaker arrives in Cairo for Arab parliamentary meet


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GENEVA, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly (Parliament) Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim arrived in Cairo on Saturday for partaking in a scheduled joint meeting of the Arab Parliament and chairs of the Arab parliaments, in response to an invitation by the Arab Parliament President Dr. Meshaal Al-Salami.
His delegation includes MPs Ali Al-Deqbasi, Askar Al-Enezi, Mohammad Al-Huwailah and Khaled Al-Otaibi.
They were welcomed upon arrival by the State of Kuwait Ambassador to Egypt Mohammad Al-Dhuwaikh, the Kuwaiti Permanent Delegate at the Arab League Ambassador Ahmad Al-Bakr and a number of diplomats.
The speaker flew in from Geneva, where he was seen off by the State of Kuwait Permanent Representative at the United Nations and International Organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghunaim, and members of the Kuwaiti mission.
Speaker Al-Ghanim had taken part, during his presence in Geneva, in the First Meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the Fifth World Conference of Parliaments Speakers. (end) ta.rk
