Kuwait parliament speaker heads to Cairo for Arab parliamentary meet


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GENEVA, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly (Parliament) Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim departed Geneva by air on Saturday proceeding to Cairo to partake in a scheduled joint meeting of the Arab Parliament and chairs of the Arab parliaments, in response to an invitation by the Arab Parliament President Dr. Meshaal Al-Salami.

The parliament speaker was seen off upon his departure by the State of Kuwait Permanent Representative at the United Nations and International Organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghunaim and members of the Kuwaiti mission.

Speaker Al-Ghanim had taken part, during his presence in Geneva, in the First Meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the Fifth World Conference of Parliaments Speakers. (end) ta.rk
