Iran's S. Pars output beats Qatar


(MENAFN) Iran was announced by its Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh to have beaten Qatar in its output of gas in South Pars, the world's most massive gas field.

Iran is currently producing more than over 610 million cubic metres daily at the major field, affirmed the oil minister.

"[Late February] four phases of the South Pars with a capacity of 110 million cubic meters per day will be inaugurated in the president's presence," the minister unveiled.

The project's stage two is scheduled for conclusion by the upcoming Iranian year beginning March 21st, Zanganeh added.
