UAE decries death of Somali port worker


(MENAFN) The UAE denounced strongly the death of a staff member in the Dubai-owned Bosasso Port in Somalia, affirming that it is keeping track on the ongoing inquiry into the incident.

In a statement to P&O Ports, the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation extended the country's condolences to the death of Paul Anthony Formosa.

The ministry also voiced the country's condolences to the family of the victim as well as his colleagues in the port in the Somali Puntland region.

CEO of P&O Ports Rado Antolovic stated: "we are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and co-worker. He will be greatly missed, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this most difficult time."
