Jordan, U.S. explore stronger economic ties


(MENAFN) Jordan and the United States were confirmed to have explored means to strengthen their relations in fields of economy, trade, investment and defense.

Talks were held between Jordanian Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the two Jordanian and American sides mostly discussed the expansion of strategic partnership between their countries.

Both sides highlighted the power of bilateral ties while underlining the willingness for Jordan and the U.S. to boost them.

The Jordanian minister further expressed gratitude to the U.S. endorsement while the Kingdom was suffering from economic difficulties.
