Drug pills with Egyptian trucker Kuwaiti held for drugs

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3: Abdali customs officers recently foiled the attempt by an Egyptian truck driver to smuggle 24,000 narcotic pills into the country, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, when the driver arrived at the border point, he appeared restless and confused. His appearance promoted the inspectors to search the truck thoroughly and found the Captagon pills neatly hidden in the truck radiator and the fan. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the General Department of Drugs Control.

Kuwaiti held for drugs: A Kuwaiti was arrested in Mubarak Al-Kabir for consuming drugs with an undisclosed quantity of shabu and drug paraphernalia in his possession. Securitymen got suspicious of the citizen so they signaled for him to stop for inspection but he ignored them. A hot chase ensued and the officers later discovered that he was under the influence of drugs. The officers also found the abovementioned items when they searched him. A case was registered and the citizen was referred to the concerned security department along with the confiscated items.
