Swine Flu claims 9 lives in Morocco


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RABAT, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- Swine flu (H1N1 virus) has claimed nine lives in Morocco, Minister of HEalth Anas Doukkali said on Saturday.

The minister, speaking after a meeting of A panel tasked with monitoring epidemics in the nation, affirmed that the competent authorities have been following up closely on the public health situation.

He urged citizens, namely the pregnant, children and the elderly, to take precautions against the deadly disease, spread of which, he has indicated, has remained within reasonable limits. (end) mry.rk
