(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- Director General of the Kuwait Municipality, Eng. Ahmad Al-Manfuhi on Saturday affirmed that preparation for the upcoming national celebrations are in full swing under the banner of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
In a press release, Al-Manfouhi congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the occasion of the National Day and the 13th anniversary of His Highness' assumption to pwer.
"When we recognize the national holidays, we are proud to belong to a country, even it is small in size, but it is great in its actions, positions and political leadership," he said.
He added that it is fortunate that the national holidays coincide with the 13th anniversary of His Highness's accession to rule in the country and this is an event in itself.
For his part, Director of Public Relations in Kuwait Municipality Abdul Mohsin Aba Al-Khail said that the municipality's campaign aims at educating citizens and residents to keep streets and squares that are witnessing the ctivities clean, as well as respecting the freedom of others and adhere to public morals during those celebrations.(end) tms.tg
