Egypt gov't plans six oil refinery projects worth USD 9 bln


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- Egypt awaits the completion of six giant oil refinery projects, worth a total USD 9 billion, Minister of Petroleum Tarek Al-Molla said on Saturday.
The minister made the comments as he paid a visit to one of these projects in northern Cairo, according to Egyptian news agency, MENA.
A total USD 4.3 billion has been invested into the project, which, the minister said, is in its final stages.
It will aim to ensure the local market's need for diesel and high octane fuel and limit the need to export these fuels. (end) asm.sd
