West Bank, Gaza Palestinians no longer to receive USAID aid

(MENAFN) Palestinians living in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip will no longer receive aid from the Agency for International Development (USAID).

The Palestinian Authority (PA) called for the aid to be stopped, unveiled Jason Greenblatt, Trump's Middle East envoy.

Greenblatt affirmed that "this aid was cut (not just suspended) at the PA's request because they didn't want to be subject to US courts which would require them to pay US citizens killed by Palestinian terrorists when the PA was found guilty."

An official also unveiled that "at the request of the Palestinian Authority, we have wound down certain projects and programs funded with assistance under the authorities specified in ATCA in the West Bank and Gaza," announcing: "all USAID assistance in the West Bank and Gaza has ceased."
