The Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan is completing work on the signing of an agreement on air communication between the governments of Kazakhstan and the United States on the open skies principle, Trend reports referring to the Kazakh media.
Earlier, on September 21, 2018, the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and the United States held talks in Washington.
The procedure of coordination of the text of the intergovernmental agreement on air communication, which is planned to be signed in the near future, is currently being completed.
The signing of this agreement will create a legal basis for opening direct flights between Kazakhstan and the United States.
At the recent enlarged meeting of the government, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed to create direct flights between Kazakhstan and the United States, as well as with Japan.
