(MENAFN) Egypt and Kuwait commenced a couple of joint military exercises at the same time in Kuwait on Thursday under the names named "Al-Yarmouk-4" and "Sabah-1".
"Sabah-1" drills were launched for the first time ever between Egyptian and Kuwaiti forces with theoretical and practical courses before sailing.
Meanwhile, "Al-Yarmouk-4" was unveiled to be consisting of several offensive and defensive air operations on key sites, aiming to boost fighting abilities of Egypt and Kuwait.
Egyptian army spokesman Tamer al-Refaie stated that "the drills contribute to supporting the ties of military cooperation between the armed forces of both countries to confront all joint challenges that may face the region."
