Kuwait participates in Morgan Stanley conf. in New York


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW YORK, Jan 30 (KUNA) -- The State Audit Bureau of Kuwait (SAB) is scheduled to take part in Global Investor Conference, organized by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), on Wednesday.

SAB's participation in the conference is part of its role in following audit transactions in companies included under its observation, as well as investment transactions of economic institutions, Bureau's Lead Auditor Nour Al-Fadhel stated to KUNA.

The two-day event will tackle current challenges facing major world economies, particularly US stock markets since it has seen recently a slight downward compared to its top gains in 2018, Al-Fadhel said.

It will also discuss economic growth stability prospects for 2020, in addition to reviewing possible risks affecting credit services, government bonds, US central bank's policies, and interest rate increase, she added.

The Kuwaiti official also said the conference would also address major fears facing the global investment market, in addition to economic hazards of negative investment strategies.

There should be a call for adopting a diversified and flexible approach able to cope with the unsteady changes and events in the world, Al-Fadhel said, adding it would achieve better investment outcomes and stability.

Furthermore, the conference will discuss performing audit transactions with high efficiency and top professionalism in accordance with certified international standards, she said.

It would also review the performance of emerging markets as one of the asset categories sold on a wide-scale, she said, noting credit services have achieved recently unprecedented scores compared to high investment returns.
