Cairo, Jan. 27 (Petra) -- The Arab League (AL) called on the international community to assume responsibility and provide protection to the Palestinians who have been subjected to Israeli occupation aggression.
Assistant Secretary-General for Palestine Affairs at the AL, Ambassador Said Abu Ali, said that the global community must pressure Israel to comply with the international law, UN resolutions, and the international humanitarian law, in addition to recognizing Palestinians' rights.
In a statement, the ambassador condemned Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people, the most recently was an attack on a village in Ramallah Saturday evening, which resulted in one person killed and the scores others injured.
