A university student has been found dead at a North Jakarta university compound in what seems to have been an apparent suicide. Police Chief Julianthy said the 20-year-old female victim, identified as 'R', is thought to have jumped from a building at Bunda Mulia University The Jakarta Post reported. Her body was found in a parking lot.
Chief Julianthy added that a CCTV recording showed the victim taking an elevator to the 10th floor before climbing the stairs to the 12th floor alone. So far no witnesses have come forward.

The victim reportedly lived in a student dormitory in the university and hailed from Makassar, South Sulawesi. The police chief added that the victim had exhibited no suicidal tendencies prior to her death.
