Doha: The third round of the Qatar Superstock 600 (QSTK 600) and Qatar Touring Car Championship (QTCC) will take place at the Losail International Circuit, today and tomorrow, after a one-month break.

After two rounds in QSTK 600, Saeed Al Sulaiti is leading the standings with the maximum points, 100, as he has won all the previous races.

'This is a very important round and I am really looking forward to this weekend's races. We are just in the middle of the championship and we need to continue with the good results in order to reach the final round with a good gap of points in the championship. I hope to keep the same performance, Al Sulaiti said ahead of this weekend's battle on two wheelers.

Mishal Al Naimi is second in the standings with 72 points, followed by Abdullah Al Qubaisi with 69 points is in third place.

In the QSTK Trophy, Jassim Al Thani, who leads his category, is getting better results and improving in each round.

For the Qatar Touring Car Championship, the leader of the championship, Abdulla Al Khelaifi expects another thrilling battle with the other competitors.

'We have seen very challenging races in the previous rounds and it gets tougher every time to get the victory. Newcomers are getting up to speed quickly and this weekend, I am sure, it will be more competitive, so there is no room for any mistake, Al Khelaifi said.

Mohamad Al Khaiat is second in the standings with 39 points.

'We are glad with the current position as we have achieved second place but this season we are not concerned about the points or position. Our main focus this season, is to get a better understanding of this Motorsport battle, how more points can be gained and getting the best set up of the car in order for us to be ready for the next season. We are learning now but next season we hope to be fully prepared with greater knowledge on the QTCC, Al Khaiat said.

The third place in the standings is for Ahmed Al Asiri with 36 points

'Last round, I had a problem in the first race and I couldn't finish. So hopefully I will have better luck in this round, Al Asiri stated.
