Australia: dozens of wild animals die in severe heatwave

(MENAFN) Authorities declared that a severe heatwave in Australia has left at least wild horses in the outback, dead.

Rangers discovered dead and dying animals in a dried waterhole near Alice Springs, in the Northern Territory, last week.

Around 40 of the animals had already passed away from dehydration and starvation.

Surviving horses were later extracted.
