Moroccan foreign direct investment jumps 28.6 percent


(MENAFN) Morocco was announced to have registered a 28.6 percent boost in its foreign direct investment (FDI) last year.

According to the foreign exchange regulator, Morocco generated last year USD3.5 billion in FDI, compared from the USD2.72 billion seen a year earlier.

Remittances from around 5 million Moroccan expatriates also saw a 1.7 percent drop, standing at USD6.8 billion.

Moroccan tourism revenues further recorded a 1.4 percent jump, reaching a worth of USD7.5 billion during the period.
