(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Some three Nepali Kirat organisations, including Sunuwar Service Society, Kirat Yakthum Chumlung and Kirat Rai Yayokkha recently organised an event to mark New Year's celebration at Royal Nepal Restaurant. The event was attended by Nepali expatriates in large numbers.
The event kicked off with an inauguration ceremony, which was followed by speeches highlighting the importance of Kirat calendar. Speaking on the occasion, Shiva Kumar Bhujel said that all indigenous and ethnic communities should come closer to overcome ethnic, religious and cultural biases existing in Nepal. The volunteers and artistes who performed at the event were felicitated by the organisers.
