French minister: police violence leaves 4 protesters eye- wounded


(MENAFN) The French interior minister confessed that four Yellow Vest demonstrators had sustained sever eye wounds due to police intervention.

Christophe Castaner declared that some of the victims may lose sight in one eye.

The minister confirmed that 81 probes have been launched by the IGPN, the country"s police oversight body.

The Yellow Vest demonstrations which began as an action to rise in fuel tax and promoted a protest against President Emmanuel Macron, have resumed despite the government's order to pause.
