(MENAFN) China's national observatory has announced a yellow alarm over thick mist that will cover many parts of the country.
The National Meteorological Center confirmed that from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, thick fog will be spotted in the cities of Tianjin and Shanghai, northern parts of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, as well as the provinces of Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi and Guizhou, making the sight in some areas less than 500 meters.
In some of these regions, sight might be decreased to less than 200 meters.
The center that drivers in the hit regions should reduce speed, while airports, freeways and ports were urged to take proper safety procedures.
