Russia to allocate billions for space industry


(MENAFN) Russia is investing USD7.78 billion in the aerospace industry starting this year until 2021, as part of its plan to growth the market.

The news was announced by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday during talks on the financial status of the Roscosmos state space corporation and its affiliates.

Medvedev confirmed that "this money should be effectively used to build up our orbital capabilities, create a super-heavy class carrier and carry out a manned flight program."

He added that Vostochny cosmodrome is planned to begin phase two of its establishment, with a forecast to achieve complete preparation for spacecrafts to be introduced for a range of objectives by 2021 through heavy-class launch vehicles.
