Turkey, Northern Cyprus sign agreement on recognition of driver's licenses


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) contracted a pact on the recognition of driver's licenses, an official affirmed.

Talking at the ratification ceremony, Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu stated Turkish citizens will be having the permission to use their driver's licenses in the TRNC and vice versa.

Soylu added, "Our citizens living in the TRNC and Turkish Cypriots living in Turkey will be happy that we mutually lifted the limitations".

Tolga Atakan, the Turkish Cypriot minister of public works and transport, emphasized that this is a very significant move.
