More people believe in climate change as severe cold hit U.S: survey

(MENAFN) A poll has revealed that more people are beginning to think that climate change is sincere, partly due to the frigid weather which has struck the United States.

The poll published by Associated Press revealed that 48 percent of respondents discovered the science of human-induced climate change more reliable when the poll was carried out in November 2018 than they did five years ago, compared to 14 percent who thought it less convincing.

Eighty-three percent of those polled who admitted climate change demanded the federal government to take procedures in order to reduce it, and 80 percent want their state governments to act, the survey discovered.

More people than predicted stood with a carbon tax to help curb greenhouse gas emissions.
