Afghanistan: 10 militants die in airstrikes


(MENAFN) An official declared that 10 militants have died on the site as four more were wounded when a fighting jet hit a Taliban hideout in Ab Kamari district of Afghanistan's western Badghis province on Tuesday.

Provincial government spokesman Jamshid Shahabi confirmed that the fighting plane targeted a Taliban hideout in Kokchili village of Ab Kamari district Tuesday afternoon, depending on a tip-off, as a weapon cache of the militants were also devastated in the air raids.

The official added that Government forces carried out raids against Taliban positions in parts of Ab Kamari district early last week and so far, and many villages have been reclaimed.

Taliban militants have not made any statements on the incident yet.
