Australian Open: Lucas Pouille claims spot in semifinals


(MENAFN) Lucas Pouille of France snatched a 7-6, 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 victory over Milos Raonic of Canada on Wednesday.

The victory in the men's singles game granted the 24-year-old French a ticket to join the semifinals in the Australian Open.

This is the first Grand Slam semifinals for the 28th-seeded Pouille to participate in, marking a great accomplishment.

In the semifinals, Pouille is scheduled to play against Novak Djokovic of Serbia or Kei Nishikori of Japan.
