(MENAFN) Israel is completely ready to worsen its offensive in case the situation in the Gaza Strip remained the same, the Israeli army affirmed.
The assaults are merely a response to a number of "shooting incidents" which occurred along the fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel, an Israeli military spokesperson claimed in a statement.
The military unveiled that during one of the attacks, a bullet struck a helmet of an officer "during a riot in the southern Gaza Strip" to inflict a minor wound upon the officer.
According to the spokesperson, "in response, IDF (Israel Defense Forces) troops conducted strikes throughout the day."
