(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The bilateral relations between Hungary and Ukraine have started to see the positive developments. Hungarians want to continue international cooperation on the infrastructure projects and will support Ukraine on the path of European integration.
"Last year was difficult for us, but at the beginning of the new year we want to underscore the positive developments in the relations between Ukraine and Hungary. For our part, we want these positive changes to become a positive process as it is unnatural that Hungary and Ukraine have poor relations. We have common goals, a lot of similar problems, and it is important for everyone to understand and realize that there have been no problems during the long history of relations between Ukrainians and Hungarians. And we must not have problems now," Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine István Íjgyártó said during a briefing at the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The ambassador stressed that the tensions in relations between the two countries resulted in termination of important joint projects.
"We would like to see in Ukraine the consequences of progress and economic development, which is currently taking place in Hungary. Therefore, we primarily want to continue transport and road infrastructure cooperation with Ukraine,"Íjgyártó said. According to him, this will significantly strengthen the links between the states.
Hungary is ready to contribute to the European integration of Ukraine, Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine István Íjgyártó emphasized.
