(MENAFN- PRLog) Kids' Minds Matter invites the community to attend an open house on Feb. 5 at the new Lee Health – Coconut Point, where professionals from Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida will discuss newly developed pediatric mental and behavioral health services.

The Kids' Minds Matter reception runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Lee Health – Coconut Point, 23450 Via Coconut Point in Estero. Guests are asked to RSVP by Thursday, Jan. 31 by calling 239-343-6950. The event is free to attend.

Kids' Minds Matter is a new movement in Southwest Florida that is providing youth and their families with information and resources so they can receive a proper diagnosis and treatment options. It's estimated that 46,000 local children are impacted by mental or behavioral health disorders like anxiety, depression, eating disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance abuse and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Lee Health and Golisano Children's Hospital are aligning providers and community partners to better serve local children impacted by mental and behavioral health issues. Nationally, the average time between onset of symptoms and treatment is eight to 10 years, and Kids' Minds Matter is focused on early intervention to achieve the best outcomes.

Guests will have an opportunity to tour Lee Health – Coconut Point, a 163,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art medical facility that features an emergency room, surgery center, rehabilitation unit, women's health center, medical offices and full-service pharmacy. Its Healthy Life Center offers nutritional courses, a demonstration kitchen, yoga and meditation classes, free medical screenings, lifestyle coaching, health seminars and more.

Event attendees also can enter a drawing for a one-week test drive of the new 2019 Audi A8 L, a luxury sedan with an MSRP starting at $83,800, provided by Audi Fort Myers, a generous supporter of Kids' Minds Matter and the Lee Health Foundation.
