(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) LONDON, Jan 22 (KUNA) -- A formative art exhibition was held on Tuesday in London, with the participation if a group of Kuwaiti and Arab artists, as its proceeds would be donated to families in need in Iraq and India.
Kuwaiti formative artist Mahmoud Ashkanani said in remarks to KUNA that the Kuwaiti participation in such an international event is of high importance and it would contribute to introducing the local and Arab art to the western communities.
Artist Sheikha Al-Snan and Thuraya Al-Baqsami also took part in the exhibition along with British artists, he added.
He hailed the initiative of organizing this fair, presented by Kunouz formative arts institution, as the paintings are sold under the patronage of Sotheby's auction house. (end) mrn.lb
