Political disasters drain Arab economy: Jordanian FM


(MENAFN) Political catastrophes is the main cause for economic collapse and obstacles, a reason for cooperation among Arabs to be achieved once again, Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated while speaking to Asharq Al-Awsat.

Since "economies are interrelated as our security and stability," the Jordanian foreign minister noted, Beirut Summit underlined the significance of economic interdependence.

Conquering crises and emergencies within the region, the foreign minister affirmed, is merely a condition for the development of the economy.

Safadi added that "political problems have prevented the achievement of comprehensive growth. We also see that crises have drained many resources and discouraged the youth."
