Notes of Azerbaijan's Central Bank prevail at Baku Stock Exchange

Turnover at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) reached 213.03 million manats last week (Jan. 14-18), Trend reports referring to the BSE.

Operations fell on transactions in bonds, placement of notes of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and transactions in stocks.

Most of the operations fell on placement of the CBA notes in the amount of 198.8 million manats. A total of two million notes were placed, at a price of 99.4004 manats.

During the week, US dollar transactions in bonds accounted to $447,920 (761.5 thousand manat), while manat bonds accounted to 13.45 million manats.

All transactions on US dollar bonds fell on the Azerbaijan's State Oil Company SOCAR, and manat bonds mainly on the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry.

As for stocks, the value of trades on them in the secondary market amounted to 9,100 manats.
