Oman- Forum reviews impact of Fourth Industrial Revolution on education


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- An International Conference of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and its impact on education was organised by the Directorate General of Education in the Governorate of North Batinah on Monday.

The event was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sohar under the patronage of H E Sheikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service. It was attended by a number of members of the State Council, H E Sheikh Muhanna bin Saif al Lamki, Governor of North Batinah, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan al Toobi, advisor in the Ministry of Education and a number of excellencies and officials.

Dr Ali bin Nasser al Harrasi, director general of Education, North Batinah and chairman of the main committee of the conference, delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of developing and improving education, noting that the conference came as a result of joint efforts by the Ministry of Education and state institutions concerned with the 4IR.

During the first session of the conference a number of working papers were presented.
