India seer passes a way aged 111


(MENAFN) Officials declared that a seer, Shivakumara Swami of Siddaganga Mutt, aged 111, has passed away in India's southwestern state of Karnataka.

The saint had feeling ill for a while and was on life support for the past two weeks at a hospital in Tumakuru, around 70 km northwest of Bengaluru, the capital city of Karnataka.

H D Kumaraswamy, the chief minister confirmed: "His holiness Swamiji passed away at 11:44 a.m. today at the Mutt during treatment for lung infection."

The last ceremony would be made on Tuesday with full state honours, according to local government officials.
