Oman- Campaign to control dengue fever mosquitoes extended till Jan 23


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Health's (MoH) ongoing campaign to eliminate Aedes aegypti mosquitoes from Muscat governorate has been extended till January 23. The Central Committee of Muscat Campaign for Elimination of Aedes aegypti mosquito decided to extend the period that was to be concluded this Monday to cover all planned locations.

Themed, 'Your Cooperation…Indicates Your Awareness', the campaign is being conducted in cooperation with the Muscat Municipality. The field teams will visit Muttrah on Monday. The Bausher leg of the campaign concluded on Sunday. Besides carrying out spraying and fogging, the campaign also saw studying the breeding areas of the Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, and conducting awareness programmes.

Doctors, nurses, health educators and supervisors from the MoH along with field supervisors and spray operators from the Muscat Municipality and the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources are participating in the campaign.
