Beirut, Jan. 20 (Petra)- Spokesperson of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit , Rafic Shlala, categorically dismissed reports that alleged Qatar has paid the expenses of the economic meeting currently being held in the Lebanese capital Beirut.
"Media reports alleging Qatar has covered the expenses for organizing the summit are baseless, nor did it make a deposit in the Bank of Lebanon," he said in a statement on Sunday.
Shlala affirmed Doha has always stood by Lebanon in various circumstances.
