Amman, Jan. 20 (Petra) - The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) foiled an attempt to smuggle 3 kilograms of cocaine impregnated in clothes and arrested two people involved in the case, one with an Arab nationality and the other from South America.
Spokesperson of the Public Security Department (PSD) Lt. Col. Amer Sartawi said that the efforts of the AND personnel enabled them to follow up and uncover the case in which the suspects tried to smuggle narcotics in a way that was very difficult to detect.
" The AND personnel foiled the attempt after working for days and following up on information about the arrival of a person from South America with Cocaine in his possession with the aim of re-smuggling the drugs to another Arab country," he added.
