Qatar- Attractive paintings by deft Iranian artist on display

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A windy cold evening in Doha. On the first floor of a reputed hotel, a handsome man in a blue suit is looking straight out from the canvas. I'm at the exhibition of Mohammad Khazaei, Iranian artist, and this is the painting that is creating the rounds around Doha for minute detailing and bashing colours. His exhibition features paintings that are perfectly subtle and heroic.
Khazaei is Iranian artist who has quite a diverse experience of working in different countries. He has brought his exhibition ‘International Art Style' to Doha. The exhibition offers numerous beautiful paintings of Arabian horses catching the eyes of art lovers in the city.
The exhibition by Mohammad Khazaei, a 53-year-old self-taught artist, was recently inaugurated at Hotel InterContinental Doha The City. The exhibition will last for a month till February 16 and is open for public every day from 10am to 10pm.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Hamad Mohammed al-Zakeeba, Manager, Admin Culture and Arts at Ministry of Culture and Sports. The inaugural ceremony was attended by notable personalities, including ambassadors, diplomats and artists. Along with Mohamed Ali Sobhani, Ambassador of Iran, the exhibition was attended by Eumelio Caballero Rodríguez, Ambassador of Cuba; and Cheick Ahmed Tidiany Diakite, Ambassador of Mali.
The exhibition features 35 paintings; mostly of horses, two artistically designed tables, and three paintings of Pham Thu Ngan, Vietnamese wife of Mohammad Khazaei and a budding artist. Dexterity, artistry, and minute observations of the artist were well appreciated by the guests and visitors.
The audience seemed to take real interest in one painting that beautifully featured the face of a horse and another horse in the eye of the horse. Other paintings featured different colours and postures of Arabian horses. Khazaei's paintings were about different forms of Iranian culture. The exhibition also features a painting portrait of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
Talking to Community, Hamad Mohammed al-Zakeeba said, 'I am happy to inaugurate this exhibition featuring the work of the Iranian artist. His work covers various angles of art and we see the depth of Iranian art and the artist's love for horses.
He added, 'The artist has created a large number of his works in Qatar. I think Mohammad is promoting art and culture among the residents and Qatari nationals. I wish to organise more of his exhibitions both inside and outside Qatar.
Culture is a kind of universal language, like music it helps in bringing countries, people and cultures closer. Iranian art and culture is very close to Qatari culture and both countries have solid cultural connections.
The ambassador of Iran added, 'Art is one of the channels connecting the people of Iran and Qatar. We have so much similarity between Iranian and Qatari paintings and other areas of art. Mohammad has a real imagination and great skills. I love his work with Arabian horses. This exhibition caterwauls his maestro painting skills. He has used different art forms and styles in each of his painting. Holding such exhibitions help us in general in bringing different countries closer.
The ambassador of Cuba said, 'It's a wonderful exhibition. First of all, Iran has a long and rich history of culture and classic art. In Doha, I have had the opportunity to see Iranian art exhibitions. This is third exhibition by an Iranian artist that I am attending. And, this one is the best. I love the paintings of horses and the way Mohammad has done them is beyond words. He has employed different techniques. He's an extremely sensible and a mature artist. I can see his motivation and inspiration from interior design and decoration as some of his pieces feature flowers and tables painted perfectly.
Speaking about his work, Mohammed said, 'I have a diverse experience of showcasing my work in many different countries for the previous 27 years. I have real expertise in Iranian and Japanese art. I have put my lifetime experience for this exhibition on a canvas.
He added, 'One day, I saw a painting of horses in Katara and I decided to organise a solo exhibition of my works. After a lot of work and dedication I was able to organise this. I am happy to receive such a tremendous response from the visitors and guests.
