Spanish convicted murderer commits suicide


(MENAFN) A man, who was found guilty of murdering his wife, is now suspected to have killed his defence lawyer, with whom he had been having a relationship, before committing suicide on Friday.

Jose Javier Salvador Calvo, aged 50, plunged off a bridge in the eastern town of Teruel when police trapped him.

The case has rattled Spain, sparking criticism over domestic violence laws.

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has promised to resume crackdown against violence on women, in response to the deaths. €ƒ
