Ethiopia arrests 60 suspects of ethnic riot


(MENAFN) Ethiopia declared that it has nabbed 60 people over their alleged links to ethnic riot in the western part of the country.

The 60 suspects are indicted of planning and carrying out executing violent acts against civilians in the border areas of Benishangul Gumuz and Oromia regional states.

Ethiopia's Oromia regional state communication bureau confirmed that the detentions occurred in the last few days with the support of regional and federal law enforcement bodies.

Up to 27 Kalashnikov rifles, 140 traditional rifles, four grenades, five handguns and 261 arrows were confiscated along with the suspects.
