Sudan: 2 killed in ongoing protests in Khartoum

(MENAFN) On Friday, Sudanese police proclaimed that two demonstrators were murdered during the protests in capital Khartoum.

"A number of citizens and policemen were injured during Thursday events," Hashim Abdel-Rahim, Sudanese police spokesman, stated in a statement.

He added, "Later, one person died sustaining his injury, while another injured died on Friday morning".

The spokesman denied what has been generalized by several media outlets and social media that a 14-year old boy was murdered during Thursday demonstrations, stating that "the news reports about the death of a 14-year-old boy is baseless."
