Rebel commander passes away: Houthis


(MENAFN) On Thursday, Yemen's Houthi rebel group proclaimed that one of its commanders had passed away of a "heart attack" while Saudi media stated that he was murdered in a military operation.

Abdel-Aziz bin Habtour, leader of the Houthi administration in Sanaa, has openly expressed condolences to the relatives of Ibrahim al-Shami, who had led the Houthis' air-defense forces.

Bin Habtour hailed the slain commander, stating that he had "defended the homeland against Saudi and Emirati aggression".

According to the Houthi-run Saba News Agency, al-Shami passed away after suffering a heart attack.
