Sudan launches Youth Markets initiative to curb price raise


(MENAFN) Sudan made a step forward towards tackling its economic crisis and controlling its basic products' price increases through opening a "Youth Markets".

Community organization the National Federation of Sudanese Youth (NFSY) commenced the Youth Markets initiative to sell basic goods at factory prices.

Khartoum state's minister of industry and trade Ja'far Ahmed Abdalla stated: "such initiatives are likely to find solutions to the difficult living conditions and rein in the increasing prices."

"The Youth Markets initiative was adopted to address the economic situation," NFSY Deputy Chairman Muawiya Yagoub affirmed.
