Two drunk Vietnamese men who were arrested on Sunday night by Kaohsiung police for public fighting were later referred to the National Immigration Agency after they were found to be illegal immigrants.
The Hongping Precinct of the Kaohsiung City Government Police Bureau was notified of a fight at the intersection of Kangzhuang Road and Longhua Road in Xiaogang District of Kaohsiung City on the evening of January 13, the Taiwan Times reported.

Arriving at the scene, officers found two Vietnamese men surnamed Le and Bui beating each other up while two compatriots tried to separate them.
Preliminary investigations suggested that the four men were taking part in a reunion. However, after they had been drinking for some time, a dispute between Le and Bui led to a fight.
When officers demanded their identification papers, Le and Bui were reluctant to cooperate, prompting the police to track down the female owner of a nearby motorcycle, which belonged to a close friend of Bui.
The woman handed over the two men's passports, which indicated that they had both overstayed their tourist visas. Having been identified as illegal immigrants, the two men will be referred to the National Immigration Agency for deportation.
