(MENAFN) Trump affirmed to Republicans that he intends to go through with his decision to withdraw his soldiers from Syria and Afghanistan.
The assertion was made by the U.S. President Wednesday evening while addressing Republican senators at the White House.
Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul commented: "I really am proud of the president for making an argument that really no president in recent history has made and that is that we've been at war too long in too many places and he's really going to make a difference."
Paul added: "not only is he following through with his Syria policy, I really do think there will be changes in Afghanistan as well... If you look at the polling data for the American people, I think the American people are with the president and they're tired, frankly, of both parties who are unwilling to stand up and say enough is enough."
