NEW YORK - Jan. 16, 2019 - PRLog -- CoinAxess (www.coinaxess.com), a first-in-class institutional level digital asset trading platform, has named Tokyo-based fintech and crypto leader Norbert Gehrke to its initial advisory board, effective immediately.
Gehrke is an active investor and advisor in the crypto & blockchain ecosystem, assisting startups and incumbents to apply transformative technologies. His mandates include Germany's first publicly listed blockchain company, a peer-to-peer lending platform promoting financial inclusion in Southeast Asia, and an innovative blockchain-driven pension solution, among others. In addition, Gehrke is an Adjunct Lecturer at Universita Lumsa in Rome and New York University SPS in Tokyo.
"Norbert brings a unique mix of financial services leadership skills and strategic vision to our advisory team," said CoinAxess Chief Operating Officer Alan Schwartz. "He has had high-ranking posts with a strong focus on global capital markets, in the world's leading financial hubs of New York, London and Tokyo. He was a Senior Program Director in the Strategy Office of AIG Japan Holdings, where he helped shape the organization's mid-to long-term strategy."

Gehrke holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science & Business Administration from Wedel University for Applied Sciences in Germany. He holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Professional Risk Manager (PRM) designations, and previously qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
The initial CoinAxess advisory board is comprised of Teddy Lardos, founder and CEO of Raptor Trading, a New York based leading financial technology provider with more than 150 institutional clients throughout the globe; Tim Kovacs, an asset management consultant and sales professional with more than 25 years experience with Merrill Lynch and Amundi Pioneer Investments; Daniel Sun, founding partner in Beijing-based entertainment technology investment fund CBT Fund; and Princeton physicist and inventor Dr Loo Yap, holder of over 20 globally commercialized patents.
