(MENAFN) Members of the Catalan regional police force (Mossos d'Esquadra) have nabbed over 17 in the nationwide crackdown against a suspected jihadist terrorist group in the city of Barcelona and a nearby town.
The Mossos declared that the crackdown dubbed ' Caso Alexandria' has resulted in the detention of 17 suspected jihadists.
More than 13 of the arrest occurred in Barcelona, where 5 of the 6 searches were conducted.
The suspects have been charged with terrorism, as well as crimes against property, public health crimes and taking part in a criminal organization.
