(MENAFN) South Korea's trade has surpassed USD1 trillion for two years through 2018 as export surpassed USD600 billion for the first time in the country's history.
Revised figure for export gained 5.5 percent over the year to USD605.2 billion in 2018, while import was up 11.8 percent to USD535.2 billion.
The country's trade reached a new yearly high of USD1.14 trillion in 2018, topping USD1 trillion for the second consecutive year, while trade surplus amounted to USD70 billion.
The export surpassed USD600 billion for the first time on strong demand of oil product, automobile and ship.
