Tunisia, IBRD ink USD92m loan pact for education


(MENAFN) Tunisia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) inked a USD92 million loan deal.

Under the agreement, IBRD will be extending financial help for Tunisia to be able to strengthen its education in primary schools.

On Tuesday, the Tunisian parliament approved of the loan pact, announced Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation Zied Laadhari while addressing the Assembly of the People's Representatives.

The loan will be covering twelve provinces, where 9,000 children under the age of 6 will be benefiting from the loan.
