(MENAFN) Libya made a step forward towards reinforcing the country's security in opening its first model police station.
Libya is looking to strengthen its security through tackling issues within the country while boosting the capacity of its municipals.
The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) announced the inauguration of the model police station which was formed in cooperation with the UN and the EU.
Such a move, the UNSMIL affirmed, "marks the return of state authority in Tripoli and its police, to combat crime and disorder in partnership with the communities."
